We won the Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards!
The award ceremony took place on October 13 in Cannes, on the French Côte d’Azur. It was the second Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards Festival. This year, 410 works from 27 countries competed for the prizes — five-kilogram, dolphin-shaped statuettes made of metal and black marble. The jury consisted of mass media, corporate video, marketing and communications professionals.
Our videos won two silver dolphins — “Sberbank — Russia's Taxation System” in the Sponsoring, Non-Profit, Corporate Responsibility Category, and “Orange saves from DDoS-attacks” in the Marketing Category. We should mention that the Orange video was also awarded the gold medal at the New York Festivals Film & Video. Both works were in the TOP-20 best works among the winners.
Andrey Skvortsov, General Manager, Mercator Company (by telephone, October 13, 2011):
«I knew at the beginning of September that we were on the Cannes short list. The nomination was already a victory, and the award was a real triumph. So — we did it! The Cannes silver dolphin is ours! Two of them even! We decided to send Katya Miroshnikova to accept the award, as there is no doubt that she deserves the right to first contact with the coveted trophy. And I give my best to everyone from Nadym, in Yamal, where I am conducting a workshop. To all the gang — Stanislav Onishchenko, Nonna Lysenko, Mariya Chemezova, Katerina Miroshnikova, Dmitry Misharin, Vyacheslav Novikov, Rostislav Kiyantsev, Aleksandr Khudekov — and of course, myself — great work! I also extend my congratulations to Andrey Makarov (the State Duma) and Kseniya Yudayeva (Sberbank) — it’s your award too! Thank you! My only concern is how Katya is going to drag two five-kilogram dolphins to Moscow. But your own burden is never too heavy!»
Update: Both Andrey and Katerina arrived in Moscow, safe and sound.
